Enjoy the game but, little annoyances
Let me start off by saying I really enjoyed my first game, it felt somewhat easy but everything made sense and I had fun.

This'll be my very first discussion ever, never bothered with it, but I would like CIV 7 to be as good as it can be, so here I go, I know it's a lengthy one but hopefully it reaches the right person.

Now a few things I noticed that are incredibly tedious or buggy, I'll try to sort it per topic;

Army:
When you're upgrading your units after unlocking a new tech and they're all inside your commander. You click on the commander, click on the unit you want to upgrade, click on the upgrade. Now it deselects the commander and upgrades 1 unit, now you have to click on the commander again, next unit etc etc.
Very very tedious when you have 15+ units to upgrade.

No quick movement just makes the game which already take 6+ hours to complete even longer.

Sometimes you'll come across ranged units that can't shoot 2 tiles away because the tile might have a few rocks on it or the tile is higher then the one you're shooting from.
A lot of the times it's confusing why the unit can't shoot and what it's being restricted by.

UI:
1
These are mostly issues later on in the game when you have a lot of cities.
I ended my first game with 30 cities and every other turn half of them grew, now I was playing whac' a mole for 5 minutes flying across the map clicking tiles to put specialists in or expanding the city.
This is incredibly tedious, to the point where it felt like 20% of my game time was clicking growth tiles.

2
This one might be a bug
When you go to a city and want to purchase something to build there is an option to purchase projects like research initiative, these have gold value, but when you click them it
goes into production instead of outright buying them.

3
When you're purchasing buildings and you want to do it multiple times, you constantly get set back to the production tab instead of the purchase tab inside a city which is also annoying.

4
Global yields breakdown is very hard to see what you're looking for, let's say I have 20 cities and want to find out which city has the least happiness, if you've found the city you're looking for between all the massive amounts of different numbers you still have to search across the world for said city.

5
Resource Allocation pops up every time you loose resources, gain resources, new town created, town becomes city and probably a few more.
Most of the time there is nothing new to allocate but the game keeps pushing you into the menu.

6
Adding on, it's not very clear what resource you can put in what city, it makes sense that there are different resources that can be attached to a town or city but while hovering it barely greys out.

7
Wouldn't mind something to sort towns / cities with either. Not sure what decides what city is on top. but wish I could change it and sort by growth / production / gold etc etc.

8
After a world event, like flood or hurricane, it's not always clear to see which buildings require a repair, especially as some events last a few turns and might destroy your buildings a second time.

Legacies
1
In the exploration age you have this quest that requires you to get 8 different kind of resources. There is no way to see which ones you already have or which ones you're missing. I was sitting on 7/8 for the longest time just not knowing which one I was missing.

2
I wish it was possible to see which cities already have a rail station / port and which do not.

3
Economic - Railroad Tycoon is basically just spamming next turn until you have enough points, once you've set up all your factories.

Government
1
Like CIV 6 it's very hard to understand how much impact each social policy actually has.

Winning:
1
You've won the game, now maybe it's just me or just the civ games, because I remember civ 6 also doing this. But it's hard to see HOW you've won the game.
Last night I had multiple objectives going at the same time and suddenly it says "modern age has come to an end" followed by the victory screen, but I didn't know what the reason of my win was. Maybe the age rankings screen at the end is a bit bare.

Thanks for reading my feedback, hope the game becomes even better then it already is.

Good feedback. Let's hope the developers see this post (maybe you should post this in the feedback forum) or are at least aware enough of these quirks that they plan to address them.

Concerning purchasing something like a research initiative, it makes sense that it would go into the production queue because it boosts that stat for several turns.
