Pan to combat
Am I missing an option to pan the camera to where ever the AI is attacking you? It's cost me a couple towns because I don't know the AI is attacking me in my more remote towns. (The warning when they first show up is there, but it doesn't tell you when they actually attack.)

Have you figured anything out with this? I lost a couple of units because of it too.
The only time I could jump to where the battles were happening is when I had to click the 'next unit' button (yeah, I know it has a proper name but can't think of it just now) at lower right. But that's only because I had a unit that was in range to attack. I would also like to know how you can make game jump to spots where AI is attacking your units.
Thanks. I can’t believe other people aren’t asking about this too, makes me think there’s an option in the setup I’m overlooking.
I've dug through the game options and I've seen nothing that would pan to combat at all. It's rather frustrating.
One review mentioned that this is not in. So after every turn the reviewer had to hunt around for all battles. Yet another missing/bad/rushed UI thing. I noticed it my game when i was wondering where scouts went after barbs destroyed them and i wasn't sure if it was barb/hostile unit on map because i couldn't get any info on unit.
Same here, I've lost a number of units to 'Barbarians' or Enemy action, it wasn't until a couple of moves later I realised I was missing the units. When your flicking between all those damned towns you lose track quickly
Its all removed to speed up the game... I fear its intentional. Hopefully added as an option

Which is incredibly stupid. There were already options to do that. Removing choices AND information from the player is a terrible design choice. There are so many basic QoL things that have been in CIV for literally decades that have been left out it's honestly quite disappointing.
I don’t think there’s an option to search for your military units either, is there? Pretty wild, I think that’s been a thing since Civ II lol
You'll be allowed to buy this feature as DLC in 1 year for 40 bugs, as thanks for paying for 130 bugs and for beta testing the game earlier than everyone else.
I lost a city because of this.

Once the maps become huge and much more difficult to manage, sneak attacks on weaker cities is easy to pull off.

I don't mind, but it sure makes you pay more attention.

Next game I'm going to focus more on walls. It's so easy to steal a city that doesn't have multiple walls. You really need them in this game to slow down attacks.

Not even a single spy to trigger a warning is enough. You won't be able to scramble fast enough to save it.

Cities and towns fall like a house of cards.

yeah a 120USD game and you gotta fix it yourself, great.
For now before it's implemented the warnings advisor has been pretty useful
