As a developer myself I kinda agree and don't at the same time.
Your point is valid and constructive feedback is much more valuable than hate,... but in this case, the hate may even be the better pick.
Like, they clearly did not NOT know what they did here was bad. They knew. They knew what they could be doing better. They did not, to get more money out of us. And most of the time that works!
Now, "feedback" is the correct way to handle slight screw ups in design.
"Hate" is the correct way to handle a gaming corporation that gave the keys to the marketing and business people, so they see that those guys have no idea how to make a game.
If the name of the game was anything else, no one would buy it now. They did not get here with games like Civ 7. They are milking the community now. So yeah... I can see both sides, but here I smell corpo guys taking over and the developers screaming bloody murder. They are prob. quite happy for the hate, as they can take it and say:
"Look!? We told you so! Now let us fix the mess you created!"
Give me a break here. That is not a "feature" you put into an apology post. That is done in less than 60 seconds by an intern. Just make the variable editable! This "Feature" has been in games for well over 20 years now. Not exactly new feedback from players.
Have they literally pulled early access out of their arse as a response? Genuinely confused why they've worded it like that when it's not been sold as early access.
Advanced access. I.e it's the full product. Early access means something completely different and typically would not last 5 days.
Lol, no. You need a new one. Tweaks isn't going to cut it.
