If your game or other new games crash on Intel CPU Read this.
I had a hard time launching new games EVERY one of them seemed to crash from the start. After tons of digging and searches i located my problem. This might save some of you time.

So a known issue with some i9 and i7 high end unlocked CPU's is out of the box they are over clocked by too much. Look into Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, install it, get it running, then just adjust one setting "performance Core Ratio" mine was set to x59 out of the box on this computer no clue why it should of been about 56 or 57 out of the box. so what i have it set to right this moment is what this walk through on how to play Marvel Rivals if the game crashes from start. and thats x54, this magical number made every single game including Civ7 work, Marvel Rivals, no problem, and with better frames then i had before i did this simple action.

So
Step 1: Download Intel Extreme Tuning Utility from intel
Step 2: Run it (maybe as Admin i do not remember)
Step 3: make sure 'Performance Core Ratio' is set to x54 if it is higher than x54
Step 4: Save and launch the game

This is known to work with Intel i7 and i9. Some of you will thank me others it may not work, either way it worked for me.

I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3601 Mhz and Windows 10. Tried both installers and ran them as administrator. Both gave me the same error: "Attempted to install on an unsupported platform."

It mostly works for the newer i7 K/ks and i9 k/ks processors.

This is horrible generic advice. There are already bios firmware upgrades for the voltage issue for 13/14 gen.

Then go post that advice, not everyone messes or knows how to play with their bios, this is an easy fix that does the same thing, for any layman.

Ugh, one more time. The reason your advice is so bad is that the setting varies by CPU. Additionally, like i mentioned, pretty much every 13/14 gen motherboard has a bios update for the power issue to prevent crashing. You are recommending installing an OC tool where it's possible to make matters worse and this tool has to be running all the time. Then if that wasn't enough, you telling are them to downlock the cpu. Then in some bios/cpu, this ratio can be applied in different ways, like 1-core, 2-core, etc...
