@Firaxis: Is this really the right wait to shutdown the game unexpected, the customers have bought for 140 USD? Why not giving the users more transparency or guide to fix the issue or a choice "Do you want ... yes/no?" or disabling multiplayer and archivments? That you took the worst option of all makes me really sad.
Same here. Very insulting. Right off the bat my Civ 7 experiance is game crashes and being called a cheater by dev team. Havent even loaded up a game.
Welcome to DENUVO. Congrats on supporting anti-consumer practices.
Same here. I don't have anything else opened but Steam.

Do you have WeMod or CheatEngine installed on your computer? Or a similar product?
if you have CH and Wemod installed nothing happens only if you run it backgrounds and manipulate gold in a absurd way. With CH still in background game glitches and gets the error message. The Anti Cheat hates CH and CE, Wemod is the same pain. So People better not Cheat in your borrowed game that you dont own. Or Cut off Internet when playing ;-)

I was getting this crash which sent me to 'Code of Conduct' page, and finally saw somebody mention WeMod... I've uninstalled it to see if there's any change and would you believe it, my game hasn't crashed at all. WTAF! I'm playing a single game, not online and didn't even have WeMod open, and yet it still crashed. Who the hell are you (2K) to tell me I shouldn't have it installed!!! I love this game so far, but trying to control what I have installed on my own computer is bull****.

I admit this is not good. Why do they care if you modify things or use a program to do so in a single player game? Very sad. And I am a supporter of the game.

I'm super glad I never bought this. I have Cheat Engine and I will not uninstall that to play a single-player game of Civ 7. Anti-cheat tools should only be in operation for multiplayer games. If I want to mess around with a single player game using cheat tools, that is my business, not theirs.

YTF should anti cheat activate for a single player game?

GTFO here

All 2K games have cheat detection because it is very little work for them to add it and many games at least have some level of multiplayer. That's why people are being sent to the code of conduct.

Has nothing to do with them having a problem with the game or claiming a player is a bigot.

I'm not defending including that stuff in Civ 7. Should only be tripping if you are actually trying to do multiplayer. But people should stop making unsubstantiated claims.

Seriously though, Fraxis needs to fix this issue ASAP because people who use those tools kinds of tools for programming their own stuff typically play games like this.

The number of people who care about this is tiny. Whereas Firaxis would have to spend a moderate amount of effort to avoid this conflict. Therefore, rightly or wrongly from a user perspective, they won't fix this. Never.
