What kind of maps availible?

Is Civ 7 map always something like a Continents plus map?
It seems that other continents with new civs to meet will always be locked until the discovery era, that there's an ocean between.

Does it mean that Pangaea, Inland sea and other land connected maps has disappeared?

It sounds like its all "Continents plus" so that you can explore your continent during the Antiquity age and then explore other continents during the Exploration age.

There's a fractal option as well. No pangea though because then there'd be nowhere to explore in the 2nd exploration age. Only sizes are tiny, small and standard.
