right now though im stuggling to remember to click the unpack button once i get close to the enemy and forget that the units i need to pack still need to have movement left. its a bit of a frustrating learning process.
Commanders are key. They have some actions that direct your units to attack en masse, so they have utility in addition to just being a buff generator.
Making sure you save, level up and promote certain units who are the backbone of your army made all the sense.
That's on you. Doesn't make the system trash.
Loosing one in the modern age when you leveled him up from the beginning... that must hurt a lot
