cant save my game

i just cant save my game at all everytime i try to save my game it tells me there was a error

To the people that cant save locally, I found the solution for saving locally, you need to go to windows security, then to protection history, once youre there youll need to click on protected folder access and if youre in the right protection youll see an app or process blocked named: Civ7_Win64_DX12_FinalRelease.exe Once you see it is the correct process jst click on actions and allow on device and now you can save locally the game! :apex_mirage::flowey:

Good if it helps someone. I have the blocking off and so there is nothing in the history.

But! I just found out what happend in my case:
For unknown reasons Civ 7 failed to create a save folder "Civilization VII". Manually creating this folder in my <documents>\My Games folder fixed this.

The game will not save if the documents folder is stored on a server or a virtual drive (unsure which of the two). Issue is just with Civ 7

My Documents folder is on a local server and I am unable to save as well.

I've tried changing permissions and deleting/rebuilding folder structure, as well as launching game and Steam as admin, but with no luck.

It saves as crossplay alright, but no autosaves or quicksaves that way.

this one helped me. i created a folder named "Sid Meier's Civilization VII" as stated above and it fixed the "cannot save my game" problem.

I am having same issue and have tried the steps on this post and not working. can anyone else help or provide a more detailed guide. Not sure if it is a windows secuity issue, but no blocked apps in the protection history or if it is because i have a d drive and c drive.

Please help!
