Biggest map is "standard". How big is exactly?
I am very confused as to why they only included three map sizes.....

Is this some joke about the size of the maps? In Civilization 6 the largest map was small and in this version it's a joke...
Map size DLC coming soon! Maybe it will include UI scaling, or maybe that will be a separate DLC.
around 80x50 for the first era
lul. Imagine releasing a Civ game that doesn't have the option to take 'Just one more turn'.
This ain't Civ.
This shouldn't be DLC, free or otherwise. After all these years how do they continue to do get this wrong? I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I want the biggest map with the super slow game pace options available at launch. The marathon pace is available at least, I believe that was the slowest without mods, can't remember. And the Earth map should be available at launch. It feels like the same bs with the blood and gore dlc for total war. Its honestly a little disrespectful to not include these very basic things in the core game. Then in the case with TW they actually charge more for it. I believe they said they've stopped that practice going forward, but just a slap in the face to the consumer IMO.
Love Civ and will play it regardless but come on Firaxis show us longtime fans a little respect and have these rudimentary features at launch.
Anyone know where we can tweak size in game files?
i was allready pissed at the map sizes in civ 6 (even civ 5 map was bigger)
and now its even smaler?
oh my - i install it now..

I hear the map size actually grows with the ages. As far as having an Earth map available with true starting points, that's what mods are for. Ran-gen maps are great to play with and add that layer of mystery to the world. Have fun exploring. Can't wait to play
