Lag spikes when moving camera with keyboard

I'm experiencing some annoying lag spikes whenever I try to pan the camera using the keyboard (WASD). Interestingly, this only happens when using the keyboard for camera movement. When I use the left mouse button to move the camera, my FPS stays at a smooth 60. How can this happen? Bad input fetching code for the keyboard inputs?

having the same issue, using the mouse works normally, but the keyboard camera control makes the game lag

Makes it jerky yeh. Also noticed this if you start exploration map as it is almost completely cleared for you. Seems to make the game very laggy, where manually clearing it is fine, for me.. it's weird.

Agreed. The hitching during pans with the keyboard is annoying and needs to be fixed.

Works totally fine with mouse AND controller, which shows this game was console-first. Just like the "Show More" Menu option which has nothing but "Retire" and "Quit to Desktop"
