Deploy army question
From videos, I know there is a way to deploy your units manually from the commander, but I simply cannot see how. Can anyone tip me off on how? Thanks!

click on the commander and you'll see the unit list to the right, click on each individual unit and deploy to the hex you want.

I am befuddled. I click on the commander, I see the units to the right. I click on one. Left click on an adjacent tile, nothing happens. Right click on an adjacent tile, nothing happens.

Is there some other step that must be taken?

Bumping this. Had a blast playing my first game through the Antiquity Age. But no matter what I do with the controls, I cannot manually place units out of the commander container.

I'd really appreciate someone walking me through the steps really explicitly, as though I were an idiot (which apparently I am)
You have to do the following:
- Click on the commander
- Click on the unit you want to leave the army
- There's then a command icon for that unit which is called something like "leave the army". You want to click this.
- This then highlights tiles you can put that unit. It's all the tiles around the commander that are walkable.
- Click on the tile and the unit goes there

As long as the unit is in the command radius of the commander (the white border around it) then the commander will get XP for that unit, and you can do the commander actions. So it's not really left the army but has become deployed. Really bad wording used here.

Note that the unit will have all it's actions used up for the turn unless you have the upgrade for the commander. So you want to deploy early rather than right next to the enemy units.

I hope that helps!

Thank you so much!

It was the icon under the unit over further to the left that I was overlooking.
It's really not clear, and I only figured it out by experimenting.
Check to see if the unit within the army has a number next to it. I believe that number indicates the number of turns until you can deploy the unit and that it stems from having joined the commander from a distance (which must be travelled).
