OMG THE REVIEWS!!!! WHAT ON EARTH ???
A major studio that's literally milked a dlc series for decades and has had this much past experience should not bomb so badly in a brand new Civ Game.

How is this even possible devs ????? My god what is happening to the AAA industry?

I've pumped so many hours into civ since civ2. Put up with every release missing stuff etc, living with the quirks because there's a good deep game underneath. This is disastrous.

Refunded, going back to 5 or 6.
Suits making decisions results in this kind of garbage.

The game looks like from Mobile game.

They tried new things and people don't like change. The score will go up over a year or 2 as the outrage of "new" dies down.

This is the new trend for AAA games. Except for a few trusted studios (i.e. CD projekt red), most big name developers are rushing out half-completed games to save on development costs with the plan to add more content later (if the game does well that is). Otherwise the product is abandoned and they move onto the next game with the hope of milking gamers even more.
CDProjekt also rushed it out the door if you recall :D

Actually they kept on delaying Cyberpunk 2077 and they were losing shareholder value. They did release it and it was a complete mess nothing like what was showcased. It eventually came back with 2.0 and Phantom Liberty a solid DLC expansion and was praised as a good game.

You look at Civ 7 and they though how many people play hours on end how can we milk those people for money and produced this slop. Who knows in a year with a bunch of patches if this game will be good or not.

Honestly the series is lucky cause I'm barred from reviewing due to my play time only being 2 minutes.... cause the game refuses to even launch

Oh it was playtested by at least all the streamers. Except those streamers all make their money by streaming Civ primarily, so they're never really going to raise the issues, or just say that the issues exist but it's still great. If Civ VII doesn't sell, then no-one's going to watch their streams and, frankly, the Civ VI streaming income is going to fade now it's not the current Civ.
Terrible compared to amy other cov game.. Been playing uing since the original on the Amiga.
Age goes to quickly (no matter the settings), only 8 civs on the biggest map. Legacy goals are nonsense. 7 built wonders in the first age is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. Who the ♥♥♥♥ wrote these? Did they test it? Civ 6 on release was almost perfect compared to this.

I guess we'll have to see what players think.

actual reviews about the gameplay, not ones with thumbs down cause it doesn't launch.
So something like this review?

If i recall correctly cyberpunk was not complet but people wanted it NOW, and devs said as much. But people didt care, and when it was launched they did... It was weird.

Every single civ title on steam had MOSTLY NEGATIVE at the first month of the release. It was the case with civ 4 and 5 and 6. No different and people are complaining about the same. All they did is copy paste their reviews from 4 to 5 from 5 to 6 and now from 6 to 7 and it hold no truth what so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ever.
Don't feel bad for the company that wants to cut content & sell you it as DLC, Demand more.

The reviews are just.

Starfield had very good user reviews during it's early access period, then they collapsed when general release happened. That the reviews are so low already, before the general release, is concerning.
