DX12 Performance
Hi!
Does this game work with old video cards like GTX 960 (m) which works with outdated versions of DX12?

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Win 10 64 Bit
Processor: Intel i5-4690 / Intel i3-10100 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1050 / AMD RX 460 / Intel Arc A380

all there is to go on at this point before release

I've seen that. I am not interested in official information; I am interested in if it really works only with video cards starting from the 10-th generation or it may work with the 9-th generation also. Some games work on systems which are below the minimum requirements.

Civ 7 is Steam Deck verified, so the PC system requirements are relatively modest.
It runs on a Switch, so in theory you should be OK. But I haven't seen anything that confirms it.

Had a problem with Frostpunk 2. Unfortunately, it didn't work on my notebook (960M nvidia), however its hardware supports first versions of DX12.

Yeah, it's a frustrating. I hate to say risk $ (although a refund would be possible).

It does hit the 2gb video memory threshold for 30 FPS/1080P Low Settings.

I would not use switch as a guide, other than performance as it probably has different binaries, and it uses Vulkan and opengl. Also, steam deck supports dx12.

"Does the gtx 960M support DX12?
Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_0, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles."

You will probably have more luck forcing vulkan or opengl with 960m

You know))) No way... I am from a certain northern country which is under sanctions now) So, refunding is impossible now.
