A whole new way for diplomacy
Optimised Warfare
The Progress is Split in 3 Ages, with own special gameplay features. It also force you to switch civilisations with esch age.
Core Points of Negative reviews:
Ui is bad and lacking sometimes important information.
German translation is bad.
Ai got problems in the 3. Age
Some combinations of leader and civs are extremly strong. Bad Bslance here
Not sure if you're really missing out if you don't get this new one day one when you still have fun with the previous titles.
What I think is notable about the Civ series is no Civ game is clearly "better" than the rest. Everyone has their preference; a new Civ game does not cancel out or invalidate previous Civ games. I still go back at play Civ 4,5, and 6, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
If Civ7 doesn't pull you in with its sales pitch, give it some time. If history is anything to go on, Civ games always get better with age and expansions.
