Whoa, which one is correct. I had the wrong day (thanks Sharlies) and I see that Firaxis has EST as 12 am on Feb 6th. The Newsweek post above has EST as Feb 5 at 6p.

It would be great if Newsweek was correct and EST is 6p!

I don't know this for absolute certainty however, so I can tell you i'm for sure going to check earlier... just in case.

That would be nice if we did get it at the times according to newsweek, but my bet is on the official one that Firaxis posted to steam, meaning 12am EST. We can hope though!

Would be nice in there was a pre-install on Steam. With about 24 hrs left to go, and it would have been nice to have been able to install it ahead of release

Firaxis is more worried about console owners than the PC crowd that played the first 5 civ games exclusively and stayed loyal for decades.

If you have decent Internet, it will take less than an hour to download. We're no longer in the days of dial up when it would take a month to download 25GB of data.

Its only 25 gigabytes so dont think a pre load is really needed. It would be 3 minutes to download in my case.

I ordered the deluxe version but on the main page in my library it still says access on feb 11th. Does everyone else have the same thing?

If you bought the deluxe scroll further down and it will tell you when it unlocks in hours remaining.

Yeah dawg if you live in CST you can play it on feb 5 for 1 hour, but cant pre download so realistically you're not playing today
