I trust ''pro'' reviews about as far as i can throw them
U think they were paid for the Bad Reviews?
The only thing the numbers above specifies is that 2K / Firaxis didn't pay the "journos" enough, that's all.

No, it's that they weren't paid for a good review.
But reading those reviews can be informative. So far what seems more glaring is that the game has UI issues - something the series never really had before, as presentation and UI were always civ's strengths.
Guess that's not news for people that have been following streams and such, but I haven't.
