(Serious question!) Is no turn limit really no turn limit?
I am curious, can gamer really run no turn limit like 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 turns?

From reviews that I've read/watched the game has some late-game stability/time issues similar to Civ III. Remember in Civ III as the game progressed turns would get longer? Playing on a large map late in the game would take the AI minutes to complete their turn? I think Firaxis put turn limits and smaller max map sizes in the game for the same reason. It's probably going to stay that way until they can decrease CPU usage during late/large game turns.
