"Civilization Revolution 3 PC early access, 90% positive reviews"
Seriously, if they only would have called it that, nobody would be mad now. It would have sold fewer copies because players would check if it's something they're into, instead of automatically buying it, because they liked either 5 or 6. But was it really worth the bad press in the long run?
The game will never be "salvageable" if "salvageable" means it becoming a Civilization game. But the gameplay loop, the strategic thinking, can still be fun. And it has real high production value, so I do think there is a niche for it, once bugs and UI have been fixed.

Its woke
Civ 6 has everyone looking like Veilguard characters, the same art style, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hipster humor in most of the technology quotes. At least that’s how I remember it. 7 has Diversity hires when it comes to leaders and civilizations, but the overall tone feels less woke to me.

And exactly that is why steam reviews are garbage. There is no neutral judging of the game feom players. Its just an emotional handle of expectations of children who rhink someone tske something away from them.
