Does Civ 7 have a hard-stop ending? Or can you continue to play?
This is a deal-breaker for me.

Can you continue playing at the end of the Modern Age or does the game come to a hard stop?

How hilarious and weird that a mainstay of every previous CIV game has, for whatever reason, not been included at launch but apparently will be "added later", like... Why? Maybe CIV 8 will launch with no settlers only to be included in a later patch/DLC.

If you would like a serious answer to that, it is because the game was designed around being 3 mini games with definitive ends. Though I agree that it was silly not to have a One More Turn mode just for the people who like to look at their civs at the end.

The AI doesn't work the same way as in previous games. It'd be pointless for the AI to continue trying to progress the legacy paths in case you wanted to keep the game going. Without programming some alternative goals, they'd get stuck in a sort of limbo or, at worst, actually break down somehow. I don't know about you but even if I wanted to keep playing after someone already won, I think I'd still prefer it to be a "good game" and not a game against AI players who don't even know what they should be doing anymore.

Its completely pathetic that is not in the game. IN fact its completely pathetic that you have to buy the full game in increments. I just can not bring myself to buy this pile of money grabbing ♥♥♥♥. They know we know and they know people will still buy this trash.

Seconded.
Pls we wanna wars after gamę finish. Otherwise enemy launches spaceshop and gg
I am looking forward to having this added, and hopefully turning off some victory conditions.

I am happily playing, but finding myself delaying the win to try and stretch out the modern age a wee bit.

Which games civ version has this endless version?

4,5 and 6 each have a "one more turn" option on the victory screen. Its been so long since I've played the the earlier versions, I don't recall if they also had the option, but I think they did.

The "one more turn" mantra didn't come form from the game ending button. They just added it to the end button as a call out to the "one more turn" slogan surrounding the players playing just one more turn when they know they should be going to bed, spending time with family, etc...
Go to your last autosave and don't complete the legacy that wins. That will give you more turns to do what ever you want.
This configuration is crap. I am have been a loyal cub fan since v1. The ages mess left me feeling ripped off.

Too bad they lost that mantra with this game (and arguably civ 6)
