Can someone explain the logic of this to me?

No one will pay $29.99 for an understuffed DLC just go get Harriet Tubman. But they will pay that to get Britain/England. Although in this case it doesn't come with an iconic British leader. But the pay piggies will still pay up.

FYI, the first DLC coming out soon is $29.99 and has the UK.

Apart from the insult, I think that's largely on the mark too. Fans of pretty much anything are willing to support their hobby regardless and so I feel the 'paypig' term is unnecessarly insulting. But who cares? :D

After 6 versions of the game with warmongers, empire builders, and great people, they decided to go full emo and do this "dare to be different" thing that nobody that's ever played civ wanted (much like the leader switching thing from Humankind).

Kind of like how with the marvel game they added a mandatory dating/social sim later that three people enjoyed and nobody else EVER wanted.

Apparently the new Firaxis design philosophy is trying random things no players ever wanted and hoping players get used to, embrace, and pay for, GARBAGE.

This is when I'm going to make children and have a Queen and die as a leader in the Old World all because of CV VII and I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with it 😅

The decisions being this game weren't made with making a good game for the players in mind, first and foremost.
They had to fill in the checkboxes their HR staff handed them too.

Business, no body would ever pay for Harry Tubman but will for England
