most op or crucial military unit?

So whats your opinion, what is the most op or crucial military unit in 7? Mine is that its definitely the boats, there are several very nice hero units like numidian cavalry with carthage, but compared at what point you get it the first boats are just super op. Old school boat game really works nicely in this one, from start to finnish.

Mississippi Archers are no joke. I love having them and hate fighting them. It's not often that I fail an offensive, but I had a game where I just said "Okay, you get to survive but next Age I am coming for you!".

Exploration: Keshig and Cetbang
Modern: Stuka

Some civilian and support units like Aksum's trade ship and Bulgaria's and Buganda's army commanders are also age-defining powerhouses.

I was playing Isabella in ancient and on turn 4 i popped a goody hut with the offer of a horseman for 300 gold. The most advanced generic unit in the age on turn 4.
It isn't all about numbers.

Infantry for me. Make loads, pour them in, don't heal.. just slaughter everyone.

Okay, I finally got around to playing Prussia while being a warmonger and I have to say the Stuka is no joke. Like one vetted carrier full of these bad boys will wreck someone's world. It just so happens I had four. Muahahahaha!

I also recently discovered the French imperial guard for myself... It gets pretty silly with all the military buffs the civ gets from their civics and can easily stand up against cavalry when in proper formations.
