Not sure about battle pass, but a Chinese leak said the 10th gameplay session will be better than 1st gameplay session, and the more sessions you play the better the gameplay will get… The same Chinese leak was accurate about civ change and Himiko.
They're obviously not or they'd be selling it already like every other game that does has.
? They made the commanders have way more interesting promotions than +15% in the open or an amphib promotion basically no one took. 7 is definitely gonna be more fun militarily.
Also odds are it will be basically the same as Age of Wonders style leader XP where you use it to unlock cosmetics and weapons and whatnot for future playthrus which is great for people who like that stuff and annoying for people like me.
And what if there are caps on the number of commanders? What if a commander only carries units directly adjacent to his own hexagonal tile? What if you are seriously limited in moving your units and/or have massive disadvantage in battle if not carried by commanders?
Because that's the reality we live in, not yours lol
All the ones (not the devs) who played the game played only the early version of the Antiquity Age only which only lasted about two hours, (the final version will last for three or four hours per age according to the devs) did not have any fleshed out crises system (which could possibly negatively affect commanders' abilities, units and combat, funny that the devs never really showed how crises work in their recent Antiquity Age livestream) or diplomacy system which could affect wars. None of the playtesters leveled up commanders enough or engaged in combat enough to fully grasp the commander system. And like I said, we don't even know whether there would be caps for the number of the commanders we can use and whether there would be severe disadvantage for units not carried by commanders - and these are really important points, considering Civ 7 will not allow us to level up individual units. No confirmation about the naval or air force analogues to the army commanders either.
None of us right now live in the reality whether we can fully, legitimately assess the viability and quality of this army commander system, if you really want to shill for a game then try thinking more before blindly defending things.
