Vassal states?

Will Civilization 7 have a vassal state system? If it does, will it be like the vassal state system from Civilization 4, Humankind or something different? Personally, hoping a vassal system comes back as I liked it in Civilization 4 (I like being able to boss around a smaller civilization, directing what they research and so on).

I understand if you invest into an independant power, they can turn into a city state and you become their suzerain, and you can choose the city state bonus from a short list.

I loved that feature from Civ IV I really hope we will see it in Civ VII.

Puppetting cities in 5 was fun too. It was nice to have them in your empire and gain profits from them while not needing to manage them directly.

I want vassal states and puppet states! You should be able to force some civ into this or even that they themselves perhaps want it? I miss this diplomatic option!
