But now the Buildings are also built in the area around the Cities, as well as the Improvements... So the Improvements no longer need to compete for space with the Districts, but they do need to compete for space with the City Buildings (Barracks, Temple, Granary)

If you do a search on Youtube, you will exactly notice some Youtubers have exactly played the game. They give a little more information then the reveal video.
So you now build urban areas that provide +2 build slots and rural areas to acquire resources. It's very similar city build system as Warhammer Gladius.
and coming out within a month, thankfully I can ignore civ 7 safely.
