I don't know how $54 USD equates to your actual region economy, but game is $70 for normal. $100 for Deluxe and $130 for Founders here in the states.

The $70 is just standard price now for games here, but everything past that is nuts and just shows how much they are looking to screw people over with mountains of mostly useless DLC.

I bought the Founders Edition.

You’re in the wrong hobby if you’re griping about the price of video game that will bring hundreds of hours of gameplay entertainment*, OP.

(*)- if it’s actually good.

Luckily they haven't found a way to make us pay by the hour yet. Let's not give them ideas.

Also why is this game cheapest in China? China is always bragging about its GDP and how rich it is.

On top of the price, the spreedsheet versions release, and the late access version, I don't even know what would I get with the preorder.

Everything is so vaguely described and I don't know what I get or what the content does in game.

There are no images. What if the FoW tileset is ugly? What if I don't like the skins for the leaders?

idk if i want to pay anything for it at all! seems like nothing changed but graphics and that does not do it for this guy so good luck
I almost never buy games on release, and I haven't pre-ordered a game since 2004 (Metroid Prime 2, for the curious few). Wait until a 25% summer sale or maybe even a 40% off winter sale.

Although I don't know how sales work per region, but—hey—here's hoping for the first Filipino culture (civilization) in a Civ game. I mean, I'll probably start as England, change to America, and end as the Philippines... playing as Emilio Aguinaldo...

In Australia the base game is $120 and that doesn't even include the DLC. $160 for deluxe, and $200 for founder's...

If you play this game allot, then i don't see a problem with the price.
Going out for a night cost me half the price of this game.

Hoping i don't end up in a fight with a drunken ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

$120 for the basic version. $200 for the most expensive one in Australia. Ha. No I won't be touching this DLC-micro-transaction ridden game.

Everyone could wait for the Great Reset! The price will be the same for everyone.
All those that pre-order are part of the problem, and why devs screw us over so much these days.

I will pre-order the day before release. Steam allows for refunds within 2 weeks and under 2 hour play-time.

I never heard about it referred to as a 'meme'. According to my understanding, it is true. The first time I heard about it was during Covid.
