Suffice it to say, unless the base Civ VII is absolutely revolutionary, I think I will wait for a package deal.
It's all the same trash and cash grab; now with less features that stay broken!
I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though... but then I woke up it and it was just a dream.
The diminishing returns for each new installment isn't exactly encouraging.
IV had two major gameplay overhauls with two deperate CD-Rom packages.
V introduced so many Civs later on, you'd be shocked to see the initial lineup
Beyond Earth was flawed for almost a year due to critical gameplay oversighs. The first expansion fixed them but it was too late to save the game.
VI first had the overly aggressive AI, then the overly passive one. And again most nations were introduces later on. Plus many of the new features that seem logical additions were so unfun you have to wonder why they couldn't have done it in a different way.
And I can't believe that for the last 8 years I spent more time playing Civ V than before the release of VI
In 2027 CIV VII wouldn't be near completion (see above)
