Half of them maybe 8 squads
no it was 2k points
i dont remember the number of squads it was whatever was allowed in 2000 with 2 castellans vs randomly generated necrons.
there are not enough unit slots).
I went 2 Castellans (Plasma Pistol + Power Sword) and 26 units of Kasrkin, all with
the Hot Shot Volley Gun.
Can confirm, I was able to defeat the Necron Force (Feeding Ground map). Final
score was 75 to 100 though. I made a strategic error, and could have done better.
I don't see what the real down side of the Hot Shot Volley Gun is though, I was
able to use it every turn, and it was effective.
i just tried all heavy weapons teams and it worked as well against necrons but not as effectively
1 Castellan + 28 HW Teams. Every unit with Officers's bonus + x 6 HW set up.
It was an even mix of all 3 types, and I made a castle of firepower on the swapped
side of Settlement map, and just let them come to me. Score 26 to 100.
its fun for a bit but it shouldnt be the only way to beat necrons, its much harder with cohesive Astra
forces. Otherwise it is too easy to customize a super army for any situation.
