Edit: I just went back to look at the load game screen and realized there are more than two save slots. Because of the way the saves are displayed (each save in its own LARGE pane) and only two fitting on the screen, and all the mechanical bits of the frame and the slider being in the same color palette as the picture it is displayed over, I thought there were only two save slots. Now that I see the slider and a bit of the third save pane poking up at the bottom of the screen, it seems obvious. But I must of played that mission 10 times without noticing that there were more saves. It seems like the old tried and true method of having each save be a single line in a large pane of all the saves, with everything contrasting from the background, would be better. Maybe next game.
The fact you can't easily see several saves on a screen seems counter-intuitive. To me it is a pain to try and compare saves to find the one you may want out of several saves. In my opinion this should be a major contender to improve usability. As it stands now its a quality of life hindrance. Not good.
