For me it feels more reliant on tactics and less reliant on how fast I can click.
I’m happy with games like Battlesector and wish to see more contents released for this fine installment in the future.
Graphics ? DOW2 doesnt look any worse than Battlesector despite its age. If anything its better animated and some of the new models from modders have more detail too.
Content ? DOW2 has many times more faction/units/maps/everything as a base game and multiply that with all the amazing mods.
i dont get it.
.... but all things said i d gladly trade a RTS Battlesector for a turn-based DOW2 in a heartbeat.
I have always felt that way.
Also to OP, if you are looking for an RTS, WH40k Gladius is a TBS but it plays exactly like an RTS (base building, heroes, troop upgrades, destroying opponent bases etc.) It feels like a slow motion RTS more than anything and is currently the best WH40k game on the market.
But I enjoy the deep strategy that can only come from TBS. RTS is always, at it's heart, going to be about how much you can do at once more than what strategy you execute.
Weak argument... You do realize how many non turnbased games were converted zu turnbased tabletop?
Just it exist as one system (Turnbased) on another medium (Tabletop) doesn´t mean it can´t exist on another system (Shooter, RPG. RTS, TBS) on an different plattform (PC, Books, TV Series).
I would like a RTS adaption cause i like to see the units in action, for the TBS section i have the Tabletop to scratch that itch (and the long waiting time until the enemy have made thier turn...)
And yeah, i played and stil play DoW 1-3. But in only in DoW2 where Tyranids and i hated the small Maps and Armys...
What is the point in coming here and tell to the devs of this game that you want an RTS?
I think you can post such things in the DOW franchise sections.
This is a turn based strategy and me like many prefer this kind of slow and calculated type of game than hectic fast games.
