why do the sisters feel so weak
coming off a tau and necron campaign on planetary conquest (whatever the mode is called) im kinda startled by just how much weaker sisters feel, im given like twice as many starting units, but all of them besides the penitent engines and heroes feel at best sub par, and at worst useless in most engagements, is this normal?

Not all factions are equally suited for Planetary Conquest. Factions are balanced on PvP match data.

Having said that, Sisters are unique in having armoured transports which can be used to both attack and to save infantry squads. They have good access to heavy flamers which can do wonders. In Conquest, I'd take Sororitas over 'Nids any day.

fair enough, just man it feels kinda awful for like 3 squads of sisters to basically struggle to down a single group of ork boys if they arnt buffed (at least prior to unlocking blessed ammo) after like 2 or 3 fights and getting troops opened up, their campaign starts to feel better, but those first couple are a really awful feeling slog where if you find a vehicle you are kinda screwed if your only 1 or 2 anti armor units are on the other side of the field

Its pretty brutal to go up against super high armor enemies as sisters early on in Planetary Supremacy. Having to just throw whips at them or do all of 5 damage per squad feels really bad.

Soften up with battle sisters, mop up with penitents or arco-flagellants. Double Penitent Engine can erase 4 squads of boys at once, if you catch them positioned just right.

Sisters ore ok. in planetary supremacy on company captain.
Their starting army is not that fun but it can get the job done against any faction and without too many losses.

Load Two starting sister superiors in to the rhino and use that mobility to give them flanking attacks on armored enemies. Rhino can tank a lot of hits.
Use flagellants to tie up enemy units and then engines to fry them.
Basic sisters are there to die for others and finish off damaged units. mostly to die for others though.

Most exploding units do not kill flagellants outright so you can rotate them backward to heal them.

Don´t attack through the middle of the map but circle around so you do not have to fight the whole enemy army at the same time.
