Looking at that review I would say he is full of ♥♥♥♥ tbh.
I am having A BLAST btw....like...more so than Mechanicus by far...and I rated Mechanicus as the best thing since DoW 2....sooo (DoW 2 is my all time favorite game ever). Not...not that it RIVALS DoW 2...just...perspective.
I'm a little bit more than halfway through the game, Almost 14 hours in and I'm on the easiest setting since the last turn base tactic game I played was almost 20 yearss ago. So the story mode is definitely a good length. And it's also very replayable since you can do a different upgrade build for your army on another playthrough so chances are you'll replay the campaign at least once.
You also get skrimish mode against A.I and multiplayer against human players for a epic turn base vs experience.
It's definitely worth the money if you're a fan of 40k. It's one of the better 40k games.
In fact, probably gonna give the hardest mode a go second time around...which I usually don't do in this genre.
