Is that really the way missions are designed? To playperfectly a nearly undoable route to get 4 out of 7 alive ?
Devs - rethink it just for a moment ,.....
I was trying to put the big guys down that way, but only 5 of the sisters can use the blessed ammo since Seraphim don't get that ability. They seem to average around 40 dmg when using blessed ammo. 5 sisters doing 40ish dmg means its approximately 200 dmg on the enemy. The Tyrannofex that starts on top of you has 380 hp and blessed round have a 3 turn cool down. Without blessed rounds or grenades you can't injure the thing, so it doesn't seem possible to kill it in 1 round unless I am missing something.
If you turtle up in the top left corner, you can avoid some of the enemies but that Tyrannofex will follow you up there. It seems very difficult to save all 7, but I really want to pull it off.
You only need to get 1 out alive to get the bonus so whats the complaint? You want a cakewalk easy game?
Even the Tervigon has 350 hp, so it seems like its not possible to kill it in 1 turn?
I have 4 of the 7 sisters alive in my current run, hopefully I can keep one until the end.

I did have the survivability upgrades on the sisters, but no blessed ammo, didnt bother really trying to do damage. Maybe people would feel less aggrieved if the mission in these circumstances is rephrased more like "save at least some of them" way so they don't expect to be able to make them all live...
Played without save-scumming and took the sub optimal route with the bulk of my army.
Started by running east with all sisters, using walls as cover and throwing nades at swarm units, ignoring the big ones.
Sacrificed my Assault Terminator unit (it teleported) to hits of two Tervigons, that bought some time, then distracted their main army with mine. (A few sisters were only few hitpoints away from death by that time)
I believe that would not be possible unless the sisters had upgraded health.
So far that has been the most fun mission in the entire game.. and the Terminator unit was the first one i've lost throughought the whole campaign. Worth it though.
Not set to fail. As far as I remember, saving the SoB troops is the secondary objective of that mission and you can still win it if all of them die, but you exterminate the Nids. You just won't get any of the 7 possible bonus points for the mission.
And I would argue it's absolutely intentional that you loose some of the Sisters during that mission (as long as you don't play on easy difficulty or absolutely perfectly). I managed to save 3 in company captain the last time I played the mission and I made mistakes for sure. So I would say saving 4-5 on the hardest difficulty should be possible. Maybe even 7 if you either save scum or have insane RNG luck on the Exocrine shots.
Yeah, I think you can reliably save 4-5 on company captain. I saved four in my current playthrough, and I was pretty sloppy about it, letting multiple sisters get shot by the tyrannofex on a single turn. Just keep the sisters' spacing good and pull them back to the top left corner of the map as you rush your forces along the bottom to relieve them from the south. I had a couple of assault terminator squads with me that were equipped with the hammer and shield, so I was able to yolo them into relieving the sisters fairly aggressively.
