Campaign History Purpose?

What is it for? I finished 3rd mission and some units have 3 medals. If I transfer them to reserve and bring them back , the medals are gone. Does it serve any kind of buff purpose or something?

Yeah, I'm actually unsure as to why this matters? It does not seem to convey anything. I wish there was some sort of progression, like your units who did have medals preform better like being veterans or something.

It also would make for trying to keep them alive more important.

I don't think so. In the Demo when I lost a squad, I just replaced them, without any issue. I haven't lost a squad yet, but I don't think there's an issue if they die.

You seem to have unlimited reserves to draw from, and the campaign history doesn't seem to confer any benefits.

Unit experience does not seem to do anything, yet.

The medals are just to indicate how many battles the unit participated in, there is no unit exp or progression + no consequences for loosing a squad, its a shame really.

this is a necro thread, the medals give +1 acc and +1 crit now, so veterancy is a thing
