Rare item drop rate

Any word on the drop rates of rare items? They're still there, I assume?
I've been farming mimic on Emilia's quest for Silvermoon and I've killed this thing like 100 times. Just bad luck, I hope but if anybody has more details that would be great.

Also, what else were some of the rare item drops from mobs?
We should get a list going for new players and people who have forgotten.
Pluto Armor, Ogre Glove, Power Belt, Harmonium Armor. I don't remember where most of these come from.
Genbu shield drops from Genbu (big surprise).

Cool, I just stumbled upon that myself. I wasn't aware there were mechanic information on essence, I had mainly read it for the Perfect Works translations. Thanks for the link.

I'm so conflicted, I got the mimic to spawn Mec God and got the HG Cannon. Game is trolling me.

I got my Silver Moon farming the three zyphons in Bio Lab. There's a chance for Dark Fairies to spawn with them and they can drop the katana. I was BR8 when I started and got the drop a little bit after reaching BR9.

And I'm still farming the zyphons for more wind shells. And the dulhullan outside their room for his shield(s).
