I Can't Fight the Sandwyrm (for the Hide Rune Quest) *Spoilers*

Hello!

I'm currently playing as Red and I'm in the middle of the Rune Quest. I got to the end of the Natural Cave where I'm entering the last area to fight the boss, but I end up only fighting the spawns every time. After each fight, Red just returns to the entrance of the final area. I can't seem to proc the boss fight for some reason.

What am I missing? My current party is Red, Rouge, Fuse, Lute, Thunder, Annie and two mecs. Also, I'm concurrently finishing the Tarot Quest as well.

Edit: I forgot to add that I already fetched the Blank Stones from Devin before starting this quest. Also, I can't seem to recruit Dr. Nusakan (maybe because I'm not playing as Blue). I also already have Annie in my party so she can't show me the way to the entrance.

I don't think you can get Dr. Nusakan in Red's playthrough. Did you start any of the arcane quests? If so you have to get that gift before you can try to get the gift for rune magic. Can you complete any of the other rune quests? Try the freedom or victory rune if possible.

Yeah, I checked some guides and I think you're right; I don't think I can get Dr. Nusakan to join on my playthrough. Now that you mention it, maybe I should finish the Arcane Quest first before I start the Rune Quest. But, I'll try to see if I can proc the other quests.

Update: It seems that I may have caused the problem when I tried to finish both Rune and Arcane Quests at the same time. (Apparently, this was the case in the PS1 version as well.) It's safer to finish one then the other. (It's fine to get both the blank stones and cards at Devin to save time, but once you start collecting stones, for example, you can't also collect the cards in the process. You'll have to collect all the stones first then the cards.)
