Why is this update 26GB?

Why is the download size of this update 24.6 GB for what you describe as a MINOR hot fix??? It seems incredibly inefficient. It puts an unnecessary burden on those with a download quota just so you can be *lazy* programmers.

Edited: as pointed out, correctly, by Nocturnalist, using *lazy* as a descriptor is toxic, for which I apologise. Poor at patch management may be a kinder criticism

I was going to ask the same thing about download size. Expected huge changes for a patch of this size, not this lol....

What did you do to update the capacity of 26gb?
The patch notes are very simplified, but we would like more details. If 26gb is changed just to fix small things, you guys are really incompetent developers, and you don't know how to improve the current game to be well received by users.

Since when is a 26.4 gig update a small update? Where are the rest of the patch notes for this?

assets are packed, if one asset contained in one of those package is modified, package has to be remade and downloaded again by us.
why packaging assets you'll ask, size optimization, obfuscation, storage io optimization etc...

waiting for them to fix the stutters while traversing the map in the game, this is the biggest problem in the game now, in my opinion of course

Well ... i'll be waiting for the 80GB patch that actually fixes ... anything. So far it seems still pretty broken. :/

And its basically a single-player game with no MM...who the ♥♥♥♥ cares about charts?

Each time I launch the game, I find myself playing longer than I intend to. There are many technical and design issues. Considering the lack of player base, sales, and interest, I don't think Redfall is salvageable. HOWEVER, the setting of this game is so unique I find myself coming back. Whenever I use UV beam or stake a vampire I enjoy it. Every. Single. Time. I think I will actually manage multiple playthroughs. Call it sunk-cost or whatnot, but I don't entirely hate the game

What about the cross platform save issue where the game does not save if you do cross platform with a buddy from xbox?
