How to evade vampires?

Serious question, I'm playing for a while now and I can't evade like 90% of their attacks, did I miss something?

Before attacking they always do a little sideways dodge, so when they do the dodge you sprint away from your current position and they'll miss every time.

Thx, will try this, now I got into another problem, one of those female vampires grab me constantly out of thin air and double bite me to 0HP so it's basically an instant death. Got 369HP at the moment. It#s after the first Tower? / Rook fight at the lighthouse.

Anglers have a slight audio que and a more noticeable visual one for the grab, but try to be next to a wall you can use as cover against them, you can strafe it by running but it's very inconsistent
