He had some other complaints too, but that was the big one and I think they can fix it.
The enemies scale up as well the more you level up. There are times when i feel over powered but there are times when i'm absolutely terrified of an encounter.
For me this game is not about the combat though. Its primarily about the world and unravelling this story with some cool weapons and fights throughout but i never bought this game as some immersive vampire survival sim.
Would love to see some more variety to some of the enemies patterns.
Would love to see some more threats in the vein of the Rook. He is intimidating but once you learn how he works and you get a legendary stake launcher be becomes pretty trivial.
There is alot of cool stuff they could add to this if they are given the time to do so by their publisher but what they have is great. My score keeps going up the more i play this but a week in i've sunk more time into this without getting distracted by other titles than i have any other game released this year so far.
All in all i'm really happy with the game and have loved my time with it and i can definitely see myself playing through it again when i finish my first run through and unlock eclipse. I'll be even happier if they do continue to support it and add some more content down the road.
Totally well written writeup there and spot on, summed up perfectly.
But yeah the Ai is kind of bad and the vampires ... well ... lol
The AI takes far too long to start scaling, but on Midnight and at about level 15 or so I noticed some changes in their behavior and in density of enemies.
If you're a decent fps player on PC, don't even bother with the normal difficulty setting either. Start out on Midnight.
I've seen way worse bugs in CoD DMZ. Enemies hovering in midair making them insane floating turrets, being unable to hit them because they are underground making them invincible kill machines. Bugs that actually cause you to lose gear permenantly.
But a couple of slidey NPC's here and everyone loses their mind.
Why? My theory is this game is getting the rage build up from Jedi Survivor, and people already had their pitchforks and torches ready. The mob will have blood, whether justified or not.
Yeah it reminds me of Alan Wake too... 🤔
This is basically it the ai and some texture streaming issues caused the huge cryfest that is 2023 gamers
I think they were actually crying already, this just gave them another reason.
"Crying... Crying never changes..."
That is great, however this should've all been taken care of before launch. The game is 70 bucks, and last I checked I am not a pre alpha/beta tester.
