I realize there is gamepass and consoles but lets be real... Player count on steam is very indicative of the popularity of games and this game flopped so hard. I didn't think a game could be worse than forspoken but my god, this is terrible.

They 100% do mean something. Do they mean the full story? No... but they are 100% indicative of the direction this game has gone. It failed.

What's up with all of you number junkies jerking of to a player count in a single player game? As if player count changes anything in your experience. On top of that, you don't even own the game, you're just here to make bad posts and hopefully farm jesters, but failed even in that.

I reckon if the game had been a straight PC release the figures on Steam wouldn't be looking too much better. That it was day one Game Pass does mean that Steam really doesn't count for much here, especially as the release pricing seems almost deliberately set to push people onto Game Pass. Game has died on its arse but Steam sales aren't really why.

Yes but, the forum has like a 95% of posts from non mouse icon people. Aaaaall of them, usually talking bad about the game, say they played on game pass.

So if it was any true, gamepass players of redfall are 10x steams, so, 60k gamepass players, 15k concurrent, lol.

What they did is appeal to nowadays games market. People obviously want to play such games, see the popularity of Far Cry or Assassins Creed.

It's sad to see such talented people like Arkane go that way, but, someone has to pay for the development of the games, so they opt for the "safe" option. Which wasn't safe at all this time.

Although I rather see the game as "average". It's not nearly as bad as these graphics kiddie make it now. I'm sure 99% of them is pissed off that it doesn't have shiny visuals, rather than caring about the gameplay. Today's games market is completely messed up.

I like that quote, it does actually seem like they just tried their best to make it as bad as possible, just to see how much they can get away with with the recently aparently increased price point for pc games. Trash game is an understatement.

False. It's included with a gamepass subscription, but it's not free on gamepass. Just like movies and tv shows are not free to watch on Netflix.
