Basically there are some wannabes who aren't actually rich who think any story with bad rich people in it is "woke". (I guess they never got the memo about Nancy Pelosi's stock portfolio.)

On a related note, It's a Wonderful Life is TOTALLY "woke" as are Bioshock, Metal Gear Rising, etc... oh and also the Bible:

I come from a multiracial family and I don't support promoting drugs in front of an audience that is mainly under 21 nor do I think that it is appropriate for children to be present at venues for adult entertainment.

However, I also believe that being critical of people with too much power (whether that it economic power or political power) has been a core value among decent people ever since the beginning of Judeo-Christian culture which is why there is so much criticism of the rich and powerful in the Bible.

As such, I am not the least bit offended by rich vampires being portrayed in this game... I AM offended by the exorbitant price for the complete game however.

People say it's woke because it has an intentionally diverse character lineup. It's irrelevant to the fact that the game is an utter pile of garbage, however it adds to a narrative that companies focus on things like diversity (or pandering as some would call it) over quality of product.

alright lemme break down the vampires for you. They are a lot like left for dead or back for blood types of mobs.

You have your cannon fodder cultist. They have sub types like what weapons they use etc. Like for instance assault cultist. These are humans and come in all colors.
The military as far as i can tell you cant tell race they all have mask and helmets on no skin color shown.
you then have your next step up cannon fodder called vampires. I have run across a few black female bald vampires and a couple black females with braids. white vampires and asian vampires. At about 7 hours that is all the races i have seen for vampires.
Then comes the named vampires by again archetype.
Angler so far I have just seen a white woman with red hair.
Shroud so far all ive seen is an asian maybe white woman looking type that looks goth like.
Bloodbags are all white bald men with blood spores on them
Rook some berserker type muscle man. Race unknown his skin in light gray unlike the other vampire types that have white or black skin.
A boss vampire miss whisper is a black woman
Bloody tom another boss def a white bald guy.
Black sun also a boss could be middle eastern/ egyptian
Hollow man another boss old white man.
There are also vampire underbosses but they are just beefed up normal vampires from what i can tell. And come in all the 3 colors they come in. Polo captain haircut white guy. Bald white woman. Bald or braided black woman. Typical asian male character haircut guy and typical straight black hair asian woman.

There are no white males to play as when you pick your class. You cannot make your own character.

All that being said the enemy variations arent that great. They use the same model for all female vampires as well as the same clothes just replace the heads and skin tones. Same goes with males. The world itself is pretty good I want to explore more of it and go just look around. The combat is not good. The gun play is from like the early 2000s. I have yet to see a melee weapon other than your punch attack.

Is this game worth $70 absolutely not. Is it worth a play on gamepass for free with friends? were having fun for the most part.
