Massive performance issues
Playing on Game Pass.

i9-9900k
32gb ram
RTX 3080

I initially had everything on epic graphics. The game was so choppy, I was getting 17 fps.

I reduced everything down to medium graphics. I turned NVIDIA DLSS to Ultra Performance.

The game is still choppy.

I haven't had any problems with any game like this in recent memory (I haven't played Jedi Survivor). Even Cyberpunk 2077 ran better for me on release than this.

"It's just your computer, hyuk, hyuk."

That's fine, but I want to figure out why some people's performance is running fine. Maybe there's a setting I can change or something to get better performance. If some people are running it fine, then it seems like a fixable problem.

This might sound counterintuitive, but have you tried turning DLSS off?
This game was running incredibly choppy for me from the get go, turning down all graphic options didn't do anything at all. Turned off DLSS, and suddenly everything runs perfect, even at Epic. Never seen that happen before anywhere, but if it works, it works. Hope it might solve your problem too!

It isn't you. It's the game. Hence the reviews.

well maybe owning the game would fix your game.

It's the game.

The game isn't cracked. Likely, like me, OP plays it using Game Pass, but relies on Steam community for help as there is no equivalent @ Microsoft. Bit silly to suggest otherwise.

waiting for people to post threads lying about how well this game runs on their 13900K and 4090

Have you tried the Redfall driver Nvidia released today.

Try reinstalling gpu drivers, reboot.Install the ones you already have without ddu will suffice,I'd bet that will fix it right there. My system is a wee bit better and I have solid 60fps/4k/vsync 12700/3090/32gbs-ddr4/game on nvme4.I also noticed that dlaa somehow makes the game smoother......really....try for yourself.

The game is using more than 10GB VRAM, so probably your issue.

I think its the rtx3800. OP may have been scammed lol

Funny thing, I'm running on an old 1080 and having absolutely no issues with choppiness. I have a feeling it's a poor implementation of the newer graphical features, ones that my card does not support, that is causing it.

Well, getting over 200fps at 4K Ultra Perf or over 300fps on 1440p ultra performance. I saw up to 360fps last night at EPIC 1440p with FG and Ultra Performance. The game runs fine.

13900K/RTX 4090.

I am out of the ship in the open, the game is using over 12GB of VRAM and it is progressively increasing, so soon I will hit 13GB.

So if you have 8GB or 10GB or even 12GB VRAM gpus, it is gg for you.

even with the new drivers works bad in some areas resulting on a low usage in my gpu ( 4080 with a ryzen 5900x)

Yes, i also have low gpu usage, all cpu core around 40-50%, When i turn on DLSS 3.0 the gpu usage jumps up to 85-100% and same usage on the cpu cores

RTX 4080
I7 11700K
3440x1440p
