Gift cars

New player to the franchise here trying to navigate all these menus. I'm about 4 hours in with a handful of races under my belt.

I just found the Message Center & saw that I had a long list of cars that had been gifted to me, I'm assuming because I got the Ultimate Edition. I hit the download button on each message, but it didn't seem to do anything. I assumed it just added the cars to my garage, so I started deleting the messages. But when I looked at my garage, none of the cars are there. What gives?

you need to buy your dlc cars "for free" from car show...there also was some way to unlock all by one but it wasn t easy to see...cause unlocking one by one is pain in the *beep*...

at message center there was cars with special designs and if i remember right its enough to unlock with this mail...since i never used the gifted cars and superwheelspins from mails i can check if i launch in 5-10 mins.

ok you can choose "download" on each mail and it should be saved to cars...if you ll delete the mail the car will be lost...i didn t tested but i seen it at porsche 918 and i guess you ll own it with an xbox livery then.

The last racing game I really played was Gran Turismo 4 or maybe 5. It was a few years ago.

So far with Forza, I like the cars, I like the races, I like the graphics, I like the handling. The menu & UI, however, can go ♥♥♥♥ itself. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disaster.

How the hell do I find the 'car show'?

they should be at your owned cars so menu/start/chance car...dlc cars you need to grab from car show...go to your house or festival and there you got car show, your owned cars and auctions.

I found the Autoshow. They aren't there either. One of the emails I didn't delete (but I hit download multiple times) IS at the Autoshow, but not for free.

DLC cars are in autoshow and you can buy them for free :)

Gifted cars are in the next menu (in house or festival) :)

way more important is if unlocking dlc cars from autoshow is working...if not just use the same ticket and explain your problem.

It's not really entirely clear here, but if you delete the messages for the gifted cars, are they gone permanently...? I'd assume not, but still...

IIRC the delete message confirmation box suggested that they were, in fact, gone when deleted. I opened a ticket right after starting this thread, but I doubt I'll get an answer.

That is correct. They didn't do a good job with those messages...clothing is automatically added so the message is just to let you know; cars need to be downloaded so deleting the message without pressing the download button results in the car not getting added. I've lost count of the number of people over the years who haven't realised and have lost those cars

tbh there was never rare or expensive cars and they only had a special design/livery :) so it isn t really a loss, except you hardly need the lgbtq design on your pagani zonda c ^^ at last you should be able to grab all of them from auctions :)

Yes, all of the special gift liveries should still be easily available on the Auction House. I bought all of them on my Steam playthrough a few months ago.

That's the problem though. I hit the download button on all of them. When I realized there was an issue, I hit the download button multiple times. Nothing.

I didn't forget. I didn't overlook anything. The only reason I even started deleting is because I wanted to go through the list methodically & not miss any.

None of them are special liveries. Look at the one I screenshotted. They're all like that. I just picked that one because it had a basic short name (no 'special' modifiers that could be confused with other cars) & it was the only car shown under that manufacturer. I didn't pick it because it was special, just easy to show what was happening. One of the others is a Dodge Viper. No special livery, no special anything. It's listed just like BAC Mono. They're all like that.
