YES, FORZA 4 CRASHES ON NVIDIA CARDS UNLESS YOU USE DRIVER VERSION 522 OR LOWER

I have the GamePass Version, the Windows Store Version (PS, they're the same thing!) and the steam version.

On the Geforce 1060, 1080 ti, 1650 ti, 1660 Super, RTX 2060 KO, and the 3070, if you go higher than version 522, it will CRASH.

Tested in the same SYSTEM, 12700K, CRUCIAL DDR4 3200, Z690 MB. EVERYTHING.

PUT INTO A NEW SYSTEM, ONLY GAME LOADED. 13700K, Z790 SERIES BOARD, DDR 5 5800, WITH THE SAME CARDS, IT CRASHES.

IT DOES NOT CRASH ON THE AMD RX 580, THE 6600 XT, AND THE 6950 XT WITH THE LATEST DRIVERS.

FOR THE LAST F**KING TIME, ITS A ISSUE WITH THE NVIDIA DRIVERS AND THE LAST GAME UPDATE.

STOP MUDDLING THE F**KING WATERS BY SAYING ITS SOMETHING OTHER THAN A GAME PATCH and GRAPHIC DRIVER ISSUE. NVIDIA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, MICROSOFT IS AS WELL, THEY HAVE TO ISSUE AN UPDATE THE GAME TO COINCIDE WITH NVIDIA's DRIVER UPDATE.

THEY AREN'T GOING TO. Microsoft is Supporting Forza 5 and the Upcoming Motorsport title. They stopped caring around Forza 4 at this point,

i hate this trend of ignoring older games in favor of newer ones. Specially if it is a racing game with a completely different setting. They should've released Forza Horizon 5 as a DLC.

but on someone's suggestion I tried again today with a fresh install and after changing to HORIZON SOLO it ran for hours.

Horizon Solo appears to be running in this for me. anyone else?

I was recently getting fatal errors with OBS studio and had to revert back to 522 to run it. 522 currently remains the latest studio driver. Then of course Fortnite can't run in DX 12 on 522. Go figure.

I have low confidence with Forza as a Microsoft product. Historically if it's not broke Microsoft will break it and if it is broken they won't fix it. If sales or user base drops too far as a result of either of these scenarios then Microsoft will abandon the game/program/hardware, or whatever.

I see where someone said problem is with Steam Version not Microsoft version. I refunded the game a long time ago because I could not use my SHH shifter with the Steam Version. Supposedly it was possible with the MS version, but it wasn't on sale at the time...plus a 50gb+ download over DSL isn't something I casually repeat.

Licenses for a PC game should be perpetual across all PC Versions. If a person buys from steam they should be able to choose the Microsoft version and vice versa. At least they should do this if they won't stay on top of all versions. I would not have refunded the game without first trying the MS version if I could have. If they aren't going to fix bugs that affect one version then people who paid for the game should absolutely have the option to download the version that actually works.

In my opinion the order of responsibility here is Nvidia, Microsoft then Valve with Valve just needing to figure out how to game companies responsible for maintaining a working product in their store or at least a system to flag verified bugs so people can purchase with caution.

So if i get the game on MS Store i wont have crashes ? Cuz steam is pain and i refunded yestarday from it. I read that the crashes started apearing on forza 5 aswell. So can u guys confirm that MS store Forza 4 and 5 will run without a problem ?

Watch new(er) players completely ignore your post just to make a new one, asking if:
a) "anyone else is experiencing crashes"
b) whether the latest drivers fixed it
c) if there is a fix and how to apply it
d) all of the above
e) complain about some other known issue like the 94% completion bug, or missing backstage passes and wondering if anyone else is having that issue or a solution.

Bonus points if they desperately beg for the developers to return to FH4 and to focus on supporting FH4 instead of realizing that the devs have decided to dedicate time and resources on working on their newer product.
