Get ultimate or forever miss out on the extra content, there is a lot of it and worth it imo. The annoying thing is it doesn't include some Hot Wheels DLC and I don't think there is any way to get it, I think it's just cars but it won't even let you buy them from the auction house
Just a opinion from someone whose Country inflation make this prices diference a thing..
It would be nice if the store page mentioned what the DLCs actually are tho, yknow for someone that has not bought or played it yet? lol
"Car Pass" tells me literally nothing of what that technically includes, same for "Drift pack" etc, no clue what you actually get.
Could be 1 out of 1000 cars I ever even use, so why spend more.
1) The Car Pass contains 49 additional cars for the base game. If you own the Car Pass, then you'll be able to get one copy of each of these cars for free from the in-game Autoshow; if you want extra copies, then you'll have to buy them with credits. These cars can only be driven if you own the DLC, so even if you try to buy them from someone else from the Auction House, you'll be locked out unless you have it. You can find a list of all of these cars here[forza.fandom.com].
2) The Formula Drift pack contains 7 cars from the real-life Formula Drift series. Again, if you don't own this pack, then you can't obtain these cars in-game. Here[forza.fandom.com] is a list of them.
The Ultimate Edition includes the base game, everything in the Deluxe Edition, and this additional content:
1) The two expansions to the game, Fortune Island and Lego Speed Champions. Each of these expansions comes with its own separate map and unique gameplay elements: for example, on Fortune Island you solve riddles to unlock treasure chest hunts that give you huge credit rewards, and Lego Speed Champions features a huge challenge board with various tasks to complete. Both expansions also come with a handful of unique cars that can only be obtained through playing that expansion. For my money the expansions have some of the best tracks in the game; Fortune Island in particular has fantastic dirt tracks. At this point you can only purchase the two expansions via the Ultimate Edition.
2) Unsurprisingly, the Best of Bond car pack contains 10 cars featured in the James Bond film series, as well as a few cosmetic rewards. A few of the cars have special features from the films; in particular, the Lotus Esprit has a widebody kit that converts it into its submarine form. Here's[forza.fandom.com] what you get.
3) The Welcome Pack gives you 8 unique tuned-up versions of cars in the base game. You can see those here[forza.fandom.com]. It also earns you a free unlock of a player-owned house in the game.
4) VIP membership gives you double credit earnings from races and 2 free Super Wheelspins per week, which are really handy when you're starting out. You also get a few exclusive Forza Edition cars and a free unlock of the (normally expensive) player house that unlocks fast travel. Here[forza.fandom.com] are the details.
TL;DR: I don't know why you'd want to get anything other than the Ultimate Edition. For only $8 more you get a lot of content that's impossible to get any other way. The two expansion packs alone are more than worth the additional cost. I'm not sure why you'd buy a game knowing that you can't access a bunch of it.
