Of course, Forza Horizon 4 is no exception. Tried the Windows 10 version thru Xbox App with Xbox Gamepass Ultimate and it works porperly. And it also works properly with the steam version as well.

How about you stop assuming that I'm lying as if you know me? But go ahead though, cry me like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ river. I, on the other hand, will keep on enjoying this game on my trusty old Driving Force GT.
Once I get into the options -> controls menu in-game, I checked the "wheel" tab and sure enough, the name "Logitech Driving Force GT" shows up. And I can even make my own custom wheel profile.
No additional config necessary outside of the game. I didn't even touch Steam's controller config page. As long as the LGS is installed, the wheel works on any racing game that supports it (whether official or community-supported thru mods).
Not so sure about the "lucky 1%" part. This game gave me a lot of hell to even make the online component to work during the time I subscribed to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate a month before the steam release date. Actually, I read a lot of posts from Reddit about this game having a lot of problems/issues on Windows 10.
I was so close to uninstalling the game and unsub that Gamepass. But I decided to follow a list of things to do as advised on Xbox Windows support page. The goal is to make the "server connectivity" status on the Xbox Networking section of Windows 10's settings "Connected". Otherwise, it will show "Blocked" status if any of the required Windows 10 components aren't configured properly. The issues I had were the Teredo Tunneling Adapter "unable to qualify" (the most frustrating problem to fix), "Peer Name Resolution Protocol" service not running, and having to enable IPV6 which the Teredo requires (was wondering why I still can't play online on FH4 though I can play other games online despite only running IPV4). Stuck on NAT3 (strict) is also a problem too, but my ISP's modem is already set on NAT2 (moderate) so that isn't a problem for me.
Once those things are fixed on my own, I finally able to play FH4 online. It took me 4 days to fix it, so it's worth it in the end.
