insane loading times

everytime i retry a mission (for example insurance) there is an 80 seconds loading screen.
very fun to go for some 3 star challenges

Best thing to do is keep an eye on the time and if you know you're going to fail the three stars then restart while still in the race. Much quicker that way but if it's that close that you can't back out in time, you'll just have to suffer like the rest of us.

for me loading time takes 5 sec, are u sure fh4 installed on that pci-e ssd ?:D

I'm using a M.2 drive and only experience this hanging when retrying a business event. If I retry before the race is finished it comes up very quickly, it only delays if you restart the race after completion. 5800X3D, RTX 3080 and 32GB 3600Mhz RAM. Plenty of room on the 2TB M.2 also. So yes, I can confirm it's not a hardware issue.

yes its installed on the pcie 4 :D
but the tip with just restarting the event from the pause menu instead of finishing the job then retrying saved me. thanks

weird, i have the game installed on a mechanical harddrive and it does not take more than 25 seconds, dont know the exact amount but nowhere near 80 seconds long.

Yeah, the game is super slow to load (and in general), it's not a hardware issue for sure. How come we can't skip those da#n cutscenes? I bought it only for the sale discount, but this game is really annoying, I wish game devs take a look at the 90s/00s experience, it was faster and better, in my opinion.

TLDR; Remove CarPass, Bond Pack, and Formula Drift.

I've found a better solution:
In your driver settings (ATI/Nvidia control panel), find the graphics settings for Forza 4 and set VSync to "Always on".
For me, this eliminated the sequence in which you see a Mc Laren Senna driving in different seasons. This sequence tries to optimize graphic settings.

A different solution that refers to the same problem is to delete the "TargetHardwareProfiler.dll" in the game folder (didn't work for me).

This is the only consistent thing that has worked for me, too. I'll try deleting all for the "free" cars that came with each extra pack at some point later. Now to figure out how to get the character voices to stop talking with me for each event.
