Forzahorizons.exe has stopped working

Just bought the deluxe edition and after clicking the launch either in steam or on the desktop the game shows the splash screen and then black scren with loading icon spinning, only to stop and give me the "forzahorizon4.exe has stopped working"

I have tried installing the latest driver from Nvidia and have followed serval online tips to fix this error including removing a file from the game files, nothing seems to work.

all other games are working fine

System
1080ti 8700k 32gb ram, ssd

so far I have clocked up 24minutes of so called game time just going over and over this crash, I don't know why it would add time like I'm playing the game but so far I've not even been able to launch it.

Any help would be appreciated ty

seriously I have done most of these, and why should I have to do all this to get past the actual launch of a game??? I've installed new drivers cleared the live sign-in, turned off anti virus, run it in admin status , this is beyond a joke

it gets about 5 seconds into booting and the spinning white loading icon stops and I'm presented with said error, also everytime I try and boot it it's adding time to my "played time" so far 26 minutes of game time played, so soon I will have to refund the game without even being able to boot it. un real

I take it that you tried the suggestion in this thread, of deleting the file named TargetHardwareProfiler.dll:

I played the game fine for 99 minutes and then it crashed. Now every time I try to start the game it crashes as you described, after pressing "continue" and then when a white circle loading animation is playing it just closes. But no error message.

I would be willing to keep troubleshooting but I am about to run out of time to refund the game. I have 110 minutes of playtime now. I don't want to risk losing my money on a game that I can't get running. It is really unfortunate because I was enjoying the game a lot before it started crashing.

Freezes and then crashes.

Played the first day without any issues, the next day tried to play the game and it began crashing after loading 99% ( after 'Start game')

Sorry been busy, Yes I deleted the hardware file on day one. still not getting past the black loading screen before the intro movie. done everything on the list, turned off all antivirus and firewalls. nothing seems to work. thanks for you time.

By the way all my other games run flawlessly.

So it booted once tonight, after trying 50 times, played it for hours, turned it off, now it doesn't boot again, I have no idea what's going on.
