Anyone else have the seasonal challenge with offroad buggies "Buggy Buggy" bugged?
I've tried different car modifications, I can't get on the level of the drivatars. Like at all. It's like I am B when they are S1. They accelerate much faster, their top speed on long parts is much higher.

Ok, I lowered the difficulty. Not a big deal - to my surprise, even when I finished all races, it is still marked as "unfinished", no reward, nothing.

toggle the event to tell you what class your buggy should be;/
if they're S1 and you're not, you're most likely not completing the event in the required class :?

It wouldn't let me start. It requires B, the opponents are A or S1 at least.

B-class Offroad Buggies are one of those few events that aren't properly balanced for AI. Leading Maverick Can-Am Drivatars do cheat.

Try my VW Baja Bug. Not too fast but it's heavier, allowing it to plow through objects with ease and with lesser chance of losing control. Solid balancing too. Possible to win against Unbeatable Drivatars except for Mavericks.

OP is having trouble with the Seasonal Championship that involves B-class Offroad Buggies and not the weekly challenge.

Cross Country series let the drivatars do a lot of things that aren't entirely on the level. And by that, I mean the game flatout cheats in terms of their traction, acceleration, and (lack of) interaction with breakable bits of the world.

First thing to do, even if you prefer to usually race at higher difficulty settings, is set it for this series to no higher than it needs to be to claim your prize. It annoys me that the game makes this necessary. It should be more fair and consistent across race types.

Next, if you don't have it already, buy a Class5/1600 Baja Bug. They start in Class D with an autoshow price of 60,000 Cr but I've gotten 3-4 of them through wheelspins and events. I've tried all of the buggies from class A and below as Class A and B for these series and this one is significantly better than any of the others as I've been able to tune them.

Finally, tune to your preferences. If you want to try mine, feel free:
Class B - 170 049 306
Class A - 510 851 222

Also, this is the only type of racing where I feel a need to have the rewind function available. I leave it on for this and free roam but could happily leave it turned off for everything else. Don't be afraid to abuse it as much as necessary. The game lets the drivatars cheat and the randomness of the terrain leaves so much to chance in these series that it's just not worth not having it.

Many thanks ExaltedDuck ! I've finally managed to finish this seasonal championship, following your advice.
Take the Baja Bug, push it to B700, but get it a little bit heavy (roll cage + heavy rims), that's working fine.
Also tune the car front camber to 1,0, the rear to 1,5. Front caster to 2,0.
(Hope the terms are correct ; I play the game in french)
