Qualified for Spring Season but still Winter?

So just qualified for the spring season but game is still on winter? Am I missing something? It said go to Festival site to change season and I did then told me about all the spring stuff but then it loaded me back into winter again.. Was looking forward to spring as I've played this game entirely on snow so far.

First you qualify, and then after a few races, you get to actual change season.

Ok, I will play some more and see what happens. I've done about 5 races so far since that and it's still bloody winter.

Err, don't the seasons change every week (realtime)?

With the daily challenges still available in the "old" season.

Seasons only start changing weekly after you qualify for the horizon roster (after you finish the tutorial races).

That could explain it. I've found a timer that says winter season is here for 6 days. I guessed they changed as you progress but looks like I have to wait 6 days. Annoying. Just wanted to free roam in a world that's not constantly covered in snow.

I just looked at your achievements, and you already qualified for the horizon roster, so you are done with the tutorial races. That means now seasons change weekly.

Kind of annoying you can't change seasons through progress, it means I'm going to hold off until Spring happens in-game which is around 4 days away.

I've enjoyed the winter but played so much in snow I just want a change of scenery for a bit.
