2012 Ferrari 599XX Evo suspension bottoming out
I've spent far too many hours trying to keep my 999 rated 2012 Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione's suspension from bottoming out after around 240mph. My best M68 speed trap score is only 293.2 mph. :-/

Does anyone out there know why its suspension bottoms out so easily? How common is this behavior among Forza cars above 240 mph?

I would like to learn why this car is so unusual rather than just search through other people's tunes to find one that doesn't bottom out.

Thanks!

My 599XX Evo tune makes this car automatically accelerate after certain speed has been acquired. Weird car model and weird tuning results.

Do you have a share code so I can test your tune?

I used that code's tune, and ya, weird.

At times, it feels like scraping (bouncing on?) the ground lowers the car's drag allowing for faster acceleration and top speed. Similar to bunny hopping in old first person shooters.

I'm posting this as an educational exercise both for me and for anyone else curious about tweaking this car.

I am not saying that this tune is amazing. I scored in the top seven percent for the M68 Speed Trap even with all of the cheaters at the top, but it's not a top one percent build or something staggeringly good. Just the results of an experiment that I'm happy with. There is surely more room for improvement.

So, feel free to use this as a starting point, and tweak to your heart's content. :-D

Having spent a lot of the last week learning more about tuning the game's cars, I think that I would change some more things to make this more drivable without sacrificing speed.

Soften the front antiroll bars a bit to keep both wheels on the ground during turns.
Tweak the Bump Stiffness more to find a better balance between how much the car jumps over bumps on the highway and bottoming out the suspension.
If using ABS, turn the Braking Force Pressure down to 100%.
Reduce the Front Differential Acceleration to 60% and the Rear Differential Acceleration to 75%.

it´s always fun to see this glitch using evo´s fail :) the most of glitched tunings are just bad or the users are just not able to handle it. so it isn t hard to beat them even with non glitched evo´s.

like for any car my advice is learning by doing. the rewind function is very helpful for testing cars/tunings at the sharp corners. so you can rewind, change settings and try it again.

i just asked a mate for the name or code of the tune he is using. it should go 302-304 mph @ m68 speedtrap. even my no glitch evo can t beat from end to end of the highway :( atm he is at the hospital but i ll edit this with the code if he ´s back or answered me.

edit:

ok his record with it at speedtrap is 303,851 and normal is 300-302...the creator is ThakaliSauce and the code for it is 498 158 895
